Kapuso actress Angelika Dela Cruz is seeking another win in this year’s barangay elections that will be held on May. The barangay elections has been postponed a couple of times in the past, although it was originally scheduled for October 2016. This time, however, it appears that the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections are underway by next month.

Dela Cruz first got into politics back in 2013, winning the bid to become barangay captain of Longos, Malabon City. Last week, April 19, Dela Cruz took to her Instagram account to share to her 400,000-strong followers that she has filed her certificate of candidacy for the coming barangay elections, showing pictures of her and her supporter at the Commission on Elections office.
