How did Han Solo and Chewbacca meet? It’s one of the big mysteries of the “Star Wars” movies, and one which could be solved in spin-off prequel “Solo: A Star Wars Story,” due May 25, 2018.

From the ready banter between the two, one might think that Han and Chewie had always known each other.

It could be that the pair met during a mission put together by new character and apparent outlaw bandit Tobias Beckett (Woody Harrelson).

During this brief trailer, they are also involved in a fight atop a monorail train and inside a gambling den frequented by another franchise stalwart, suave smuggler, future floating city administrator, and original Millennium Falcon owner Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover).

Directed by Ron Howard, who took the reins after Phil Lord and Christopher Miller departed, “Solo: A Star Wars Story” has Alden Ehrenreich in a title role previously inhabited by Harrison Ford.

Joining him, along with Harrelson and Glover, will be Joonas Suatamo as Chewbacca, as well as Emilia Clarke, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Paul Bettany.

Following a world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on May 15, the film makes its international debut the week of May 25, 2018. JB
