K Brosas stages ‘18K for 2018’ concert
One of the country’s most versatile comedians is celebrating a milestone this year. Carmela Brosas, more popularly known as K Brosas is set to stage an all-out concert titled “K Brosas: 18K for 2018” on April 28 at the Kia Theater.
Her concert is certifiably a must-see not only for the hilarious show the comedian will surely put up but also because of the stellar line-up of guest performers who will be with her on stage. Her powerhouse guests include comedians Pooh and Chokoleit, Queen of R&B Kyla, Ultimate Powerbelter Angeline Quinto, Divine Diva Zsa Zsa Padilla, Queen of Soul Jaya and Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez. Also joining her for the first time on a major concert stage is her equally talented daughter Crystal Brosas.
This year marks Brosas’ 18th anniversary in the entertainment scene. Adding up to her credibility as a musician, Brosas remains to be a regular “hurado” in “It’s Showtime’s” “Tawag Ng Tanghalan” for over three seasons now.
It was in 2000 that Brosas debuted into showbiz with K and The Boxers band. It was the time that the band’s gigs were injected with funny antics that boomed into the market especially with the masses. The band was mostly remembered for the mass-based radio hit “Sasakyan Kita”. Not long after, she stormed into television hosting shows such as “Bitoy’s Funniest Videos”, Extra Challenge” and “Eat Bulaga”.
Apart from that she was also a mainstay in drama series such as “Ikaw Lang Ang Mamahalin”, “Darna”, “Marinara” and “Super Twins”.
