Sharon Cuneta, Gabby Concepcion exchange playful posts; fans in a frenzy
Fans of the Sharon-Gabby love team couldn’t help but go wild over the cryptic exchange of the two when Gabby Concepcion posted via Instagram yesterday a picture of him carrying roses.
“When the end approaches, so does the beginning,” Concepcion wrote. The picture seemed to be a scene from Concepcion’s teleserye “Ika-6 na Utos” with actress Sunshine Dizon, possibly hinting the nearing end of the series.
Concepcion, however, added the hashtags #goodvibes #10 #20 which made the fans speculate that the post may be referring to Megastar Sharon Cuneta.
A lot of fans pointed out that “10/20 over!” used to be Cuneta and Concepcion’s secret code for “I love you” back when they were younger, something they used during radio appearances and shootings so as not to be obvious. Others pointed out that “10:20” was the time of KC Concepcion’s birth in April 7, 1985.
But what really got the fans in a frenzy, however, was when Cuneta herself commented on Concepcion’s post. “You naughty!” wrote Cuneta. “Crazy hahaha. No se que!”
“No se que” roughly translates to “I know not” or “I do not know that” in English, or “Ewan ko!” or “Hindi ko alam!” in Tagalog.

Cuneta captioned both photos with, “Aba aba aba hahaha! In response to someone’s post…” She included the hashtags #02 #01, the reverse of 10/20.
Cuneta didn’t stop there. She also posted a series of pictures of her and KC, her daughter with Concepcion, as well as a throwback picture of her and Concepcion during their love team days. “Kwaysie-Waysie of Shawon & Gabby,” wrote Cuneta.
Although the two haven’t explicitly stated that a reunion would be happening this year, Cuneta shared to INQUIRER last year that she is willing to work again with Concepcion. “First, for closure,” Cuneta said. “I know our fans, who grew up with us, were also hurt when they learned that we broke up.”
Her second reason was “to signal a new beginning.” “If the team-up becomes successful, it could lead to other projects, or even endorsements. Ours was such a strong brand.”
Patience is a virtue, they say. Although Cuneta and Concepcion continue to drop hints about a possible reunion, it could only be a matter of time until the big news will be revealed.
In the meantime, fans should keep their eyes peeled on what the two might have in store for Feb. 10, 02/10. JB
