Ellen Adarna shares throwback photo of her and John Lloyd Cruz when they were still ‘just friends’
Ellen Adarna continued to fan the flames of speculations surrounding her pregnancy with actor John Lloyd Cruz when she posted a throwback photo yesterday on her Instagram page: the photo features her with Cruz and good friend Beauty Gonzalez’s baby, Olivia Ines.
Olivia Ines, the only child of Gonzalez with art curator Norman Crisologo, celebrated her 2nd birthday over the weekend.
The throwback picture was from two years ago, 2016, and showed Adarna carrying the infant Olivia in her arms with Cruz standing next to her, his right arm around Adarna’s shoulder.

Other than the throwback picture, Adarna also wrote a message to Gonzalez in Bisaya.

In Filipino, the message reads: “Happy birthday Olivia! Sorry talaga Beauts na bad ninong and ninang kami kasi absent kami. Babawi kami pagbalik! Hahaha. Sus Beauts si Olivia pala ang alay. Bilis talaga lumaki ni Livliv,” wrote Adarna. “Wala pang 1 year si Livliv dito sa pic tapos friends pa lang kami dito sinong mageexpect. Hindi mo talaga masasabi. Ang taba ko pa dito di ko kinaya.”

Before Adarna, Cruz was in a relationship with actress Angelica Panganiban for almost four years, their relationship starting in July 2012 and ending in January 2016. Although they were continued to be seen together in the months following their breakup, having dinner in October 2016 and attending an art fair in February 2017 as reported by the Philippine Entertainment Portal, the two maintained that they were just friends.
Meanwhile, Adarna has been previously in a relationship with presidential son, Sebastian “Baste” Duterte.
It can be remembered that Olivia was born on the first week of February 2016. The picture of Ellen above was likely taken around the same month of Olivia’s birth, leaving only a few weeks in between when the breakup of Panganiban and Cruz happened.

These days, Cruz and Adarna continue to be silent about their status together, but recently, Cruz was found being encouraged to learn Bisaya by Gonzalez; Adarna’s family is from Cebu and speaks Bisaya. Last week, Adarna and Cruz also both posted a picture of a scenic view of lush trees and a mountain view with the cryptic caption, “Our Future View,” possibly hinting that the two may be building a home together.
