Nadine Lustre supports fight against depression; requests no posting of photos from brother’s funeral
Following police reports confirming her teen brother’s suicide, Nadine Lustre has expressed her sentiments through Instagram (IG) Stories.
Two days after her brother passed away, the “On the Wings of Love” actress wrote, “You are stronger than depression.” In light of World Mental Health Day she posted a semicolon and the hashtag #KeepGoing.
The punctuation mark has become a symbol for mental health, serving as a reminder to pause and then move forward for those struggling with mental health issues.
Videos of Lustre have since surfaced of her speaking in her brother’s funeral.
Messages posted on her IG Stories read, “May I request to please refrain from posting/reposting photos and videos of me from the funeral. Let’s give respect.”

According to Radyo Inquirer, the Quezon City Police Department reported two gunshots heard from the Lustre home on Oct. 8.
Lustre’s 16-year-old brother Isaiah, known as Ice, was found to have taken his own life.
Bandera reports that the case is under investigation because the gun did not have a license. JB
