Leonardo DiCaprio, Martin Scorsese collaborate in upcoming Theodore Roosevelt film

Who could be more fitting to play a conservationist president than environmental advocate Leonardo DiCaprio?
According to Deadline, the Oscar award-winning actor will star in a biopic film about former US President Theodore Roosevelt.
The film will be directed by Martin Scorsese, who is co-producing the film with DiCaprio.
DiCaprio and Scorsese are also among the producers of the film; the pair have collaborated on a number of critically acclaimed movies including “Shutter Island” and “Wolf of Wall Street.”
According to the White House website, Theodore Roosevelt rose to the presidency after the assassination of President William McKinley. Only 42 then, he holds the title of youngest US president and held office from 1901 to 1909.
At the time, he earned a Nobel Peace Prize for mediating a treaty to end the Russo-Japanese War. He also promoted conservation by establishing national parks, increasing forests and allotting land for public use. Niña V. Guno /ra
