Empoy’s next leading lady is Ellen Adarna

Things are looking really bright for comedian Empoy Marquez.

Thanks to his smash hit indie movie “Kita Kita”, Marquez receives more and more projects lately. He now gets to top-bill movies with the hottest actresses. After working with Alessandra de Rossi, he is now set to do a movie with Ellen Adarna.

The news was announced by Marquez himself last Monday when he renewed his contract with the ABS-CBN film production unit, Star Cinema.

However, he did not reveal further details about the movie, being still in development.

As to why he chose Adarna to be his leading lady, he jokingly said, “For a change.”

He is also set to do a movie with Viva Artists Agency talent Shy Carlos entitled “The Barker (Don’t Know What To Do)”. The film will be directed by veteran comedian, Dennis Padilla.

Marquez also dreams of working with comedians Vice Ganda, Vhong Navarro, Joey de Leon and Vic Sotto.

Recently, Marquez also launched his own book, “Bakit Nakakakiliti Ang Bigote”, at the Manila International Book Fair. JB
