Early this week, the cast of the controversial drama “13 Reasons Why,” which centers on a teen who killed herself, appeared in a short video for World Suicide Prevention Day, which is commemorated every year on Sept. 10.

Each held a card that either said a word or words that ultimately form, “Take a minute, change a life. Share the message. Take a minute, change a life. Spread awareness.”

Brandon Flynn, who plays the troubled jock Justin, said on Instagram, “Today was a beautiful day, but all days are not. For some, it’s harder to see the light when it gets too dark.

“I am proud to be [a part] of @13reasonswhy and share with the world stories that happen way too often and are talked about way too little.”—OLIVER PULUMBARIT
