After her much publicized bitter separation from ex-husband, action star Cesar Montano, seasoned actress Sunshine Cruz has found happiness in her new life with her kids, a budding showbiz career and a fulfilled love life with her boyfriend, Macky Mathay, who is actress Ara Mina’s half-brother.

With less than a year into her new love relationship, the gorgeous 40-year-old obviously glows in peace and contentment. “Tungkol sa personal life ko, I am very happy now, it’s not perfect but I’m very happy now. And I’m very blessed na merong isang tao na hindi lang sa akin nagmamahal kundi sa mga anak ko na tinatrato sila na parang mga anak din,” Cruz said in the sidelines of her contract signing with her new management, ALV Talent Circuit, on Thursday.

‘Diba kaya meron akong magandang teleserye, “Wildflower,” ang mga tao na nga sa akin is Camia Cruz not Sunshine Cruz gan’un siyang ka-effective, I have an upcoming endorsement, I will see you all very soon sa launching, parang masayang masaya lang ako ngayon, walang wala na ‘kong mahihiling pa for now,” she added.

Unlike usual scenarios where kids disapprove of their parents’ romantic relationships outside of marriage, both Mathay and Cruz’ kids surprisingly get along well with their families’ new setup. Consequently, all the kids from both parties get along well too.

Wala kaming pinlano, when they first met their Tito Macky kasi, nag-te-text na sila and they’re friends on Instagram already. Wala kaming pinilit, ‘yung kids ni Macky at saka ‘yung kids ko, it’s really a surprise but it’s beautiful.”

Nasa stage kami na we’re just enjoying and we support each other’s dreams and mga trabaho. ‘Yun lang ang masarap sa merong isang taong sumusuporta sa’yo at tanggap ka lang pati mga anak mo. I’m just very happy now.”

Cruz welcomes future suitors of her 3 daughters

Her broken marriage with Montano gave her three beautiful daughters–Angelina Isabel (15), Samantha Angeline (13) and Angel Franchesca (11). Now that the girls are growing up, suitors and admirers are just around the corner. Cruz, however, keeps an open mind on these inevitable things that come with growing up.

For clarification, the doting mom of three confidently said that “wala pa sa kanila nangliligaw, they’re still my babies.”

However, she knows too well that as her teens head to a more exciting stage of their lives, she makes sure she knows everything so she can guide them well.

“Of course I know that it will come. I can be a spoiler but at the same time pag kailangan magpaka nanay strict ako sa kanila and they respect me for that,” she ended. /ra
