Oh, no, no—not at all.”

That was Lovi Poe’s swift reply to rumors that she and her Filipino-French boyfriend, Chris Johnson, are already living together.

“We see each other when I don’t have work, but we don’t stay in one house. We live quite far away from each other; I live in Quezon City, while he’s from the south,” Lovi told reporters at a recent press conference for the GMA 7 fantasy series, “Mulawin vs Ravena,” which starts airing on May 22.

Besides, the idea of moving in with Chris has not yet crossed her mind. “It’s not something I think about, actually, because it’s too early for us [to even consider that],” the 28-year-old actress added.

Although Lovi is comfortable sharing photos of her and her beau with her followers in social media, she’s still reluctant to talk about their relationship in detail.

She related that her mother had already met Chris and liked him, and that Chris was already based here in the country. But that was as far as she was willing to divulge.

“I don’t want to talk about him much, because that’s his life. For now, I want to keep things more private,” she stressed.

After all, her previous relationship, with fellow Kapuso actor Rocco Nacino, was the exact opposite.

“For quite a while, everything about my life was open—in social media, etc. Now I’d like to start keeping a few things to myself,” she said. “It’s my personal choice.”

Earlier this year, Rocco disclosed that he and Lovi had “closure,” after a genuine and lengthy conversation. Asked to comment about her ex-boyfriend’s revelation, Lovi simply said she was “happy” it took place.

“That (the breakup) was something that happened a long time ago. We’re both in a good place at the moment,” pointed out Lovi, whose two-year relationship with Rocco ended last year.

In “Mulawin vs Ravena,” the sequel to the popular 2004 telefantasya “Mulawin,” Lovi plays a new character, Magindara—the goddess of
the sea and daughter of Sandawa (Regine Velasquez-Alcasid) who, on the other hand, is the goddess
of nature.

“Everyone who sees Magindara becomes smitten with her,” said Lovi who’s a self-confessed “Reginian.” “This is the first time I will be working with her (Regine) in a soap, so I look forward to every minute of it.”
