Colleagues ‘out’ celebrity junkie in social media

12:20 AM August 14, 2016

Greying Celebrity, who is close to Powerful Personality, is purportedly hooked on illicit substances.

Colleagues have always been privy to GC’s nasty addiction. Now, the world wide web knows about it, too.

The scuttlebutt spread like wildfire in social media: Colleagues claim that GC is still a “user,” after all these years. No longer a spring chicken, GC still acts like a reckless teenager—much to the consternation of relatives, who have no choice but to sweep the mess under the rug.

In light of the government’s ongoing war against drugs, will GC be forced to shape up?

No wonder the Feisty Mother of Grizzled Heartthrob saw red when her son hooked up with Perky Starlet.

FM had nothing but vitriol for PS. FM even dredged up PS’ checkered past—alluding to a stint in a seedy nightspot and forbidden affairs with married men.

Turned out, FM’s background wasn’t so pristine, as well.

According to a mole, FM used to work in a honkytonk—where she eventually hooked her child’s good-looking dad.

Reminds us of the Filipino adage about thieves hating fellow criminals.

Catfight

Beautiful Starlet was once the toast of Tinseltown.

Spoiled rotten, BS often misbehaved and treated elders with contempt.

One fine day, BS’ equally Pugnacious Parent got fed up. PP slapped BS. BS, in retaliation, smacked PP, too.

The heated exchange led to a full-blown catfight.

Shameless PP dragged BS out of the house, and they ended up duking it out on the street—in full view of shocked neighbors.

Fast-forward to the here and now, BS has her own family.

Will she be more patient than PP?

Unfriend

Industry Insider is losing friends quickly.

II’s bad attitude has turned off not a few colleagues. One by one, they are “unfriending” II in social media.

They complain that II’s negativity is a downer. II keeps whining about countless problems—most of them fictitious, they point out.

No one can stand II, who is an incorrigible intrigue-monger, too.

Clueless II, however, acts like the “belle of the ball” in the interweb—basking in imagined popularity.

Empty promise

From the Inquirer tabloid Bandera:

Cute Hunk was supposed to be the most promising “discovery” among his peers.

Alas, CH fell in love with the wrong person—Determined Novice who can be quite possessive. CH chose DN over his stunned handlers.

After turning his back on the people who helped him gain a foothold in the biz, CH experienced a string of setbacks.

Now, CH is threatening to bolt from Home Studio.

Well, let’s just hope HS will not dump CH first.

Top of the Tabloids

This week’s top show biz news in the Inquirer tabloid Bandera (and why we are moved, if we are moved):

Jed Madela on malicious issues linking him to Darren Espanto: “Nakakalungkot lang dahil pati bata idinamay pa nila!” (Anuvayan!)

Ogie Alcasid on being 49: “Pero hanggang ngayon para pa rin akong totoy!” (DNG? Did Not Grow up?)

Love story nina Kakai Bautista at Mario Maurer pilit hinaharang.  (Namen.)

Action-comedy movie ng mag-amang Bong at Jolo Revilla planado na. (Huh?)

Lea Salonga on being buried at Libingan ng mga Bayani: “If by some miracle of God I became eligible… I’d probably refuse if it was on the taxpayer’s dime. Not to mention inconvenient for my family to visit….” (Makes sense.)

Aiza Seguerra excited pero kabado sa bagong tungkulin  bilang chair ng National Youth Commission. (And wife Liza Diño now heads the Film Development Council of the Philippines. Change did come. Twice.)
