American singer-songwriters David Pomeranz and Melissa Manchester will perform some of their enduring love ballads in a back-to-back concert on April 6 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum (call 9115555).

Manchester, who was once a backup singer for Bette Midler, is known for such hits as “Midnight Blue,” “Looking Through the Eyes of Love” and “Don’t Cry Out Loud,” and won best pop vocal performance in the 1982 Grammy Awards for the song, “You Should Hear How She Talks About You.”

Pomeranz, on the other hand, is virtually Filipino, having held shows in the Philippines countless times, and achieving enormous success in the country with his brand of sentimental music that has become karaoke staples—“Born for You,” “King and Queen of Hearts,” “Got to Believe in Magic.”
