Ai Ai touched by Jiro Manio’s plight; reaches out

Actress and comedienne Ai Ai Delas Alas on Tuesday expressed concern on Instagram over the plight of former child actor Jiro Manio and aired a desire to help.

Delas Alas posted a screengrabbed Facebook post that said Manio, 23, had been sighted at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport’s Terminal 3, seemingly dazed.

Her post pleaded help for Manio and those like him who “strayed from their path” (naliligaw ng landas).

Delas Alas and Manio worked together for the “Tanging Ina” movie franchise (2003-2010). Manio played Shammy, Delas Alas’ (Ina) ninth child in the movies.
