Mark Mabasa and Lowcal join jazz fest in Macau

Singer Mark Mabasa will perform with his band Lowcal at The Venetian Macao Lagoon in Macau, as one of the top 12 finalists of the Cotai Jazz & Blues Festival.

Mark’s band was chosen out of 180 groups from all over the world and is the only one from the Philippines.

The Cotai Festival is an annual music and food event. The competition gathers 12 musical acts from different countries. This year’s lineup includes acts from Brazil, Taiwan, Hungary, the United States, Hong Kong, India, Mozambique, France, Finland, Portugal and the Philippines.

The winning band will bring home a cash prize of HK$550,000. The fest is ongoing until Oct. 12.
