Vhong Navarro checks out of hospital, files supplemental affidavit at DOJ
MANILA, Philippines–Actor-host Vhong Navarro appeared Thursday afternoon before the Department of Justice to personally affirm his affidavit to the charges he filed against businessman Cedric Lee and model Deniece Cornejo.
After almost two weeks of being hospitalized at St. Luke’s Medical center in Quezon City, Navarro went straight to the headquarters with his lawyer Alma Mallonga and policemen in a convoy.
Navarro submitted a supplemental affidavit as part of the proceedings in connection with his serious illegal detention, serious physical injuries, grave threats, grave coercion, illegal arrest and blackmail complaint against Cornejo, Lee, and sister Bernice Lee, Ferdinand Guerrero, Zimmer Rance, and a certain Mike and two John Does.
Media reports said the preliminary probe on the cases faced by Navarro, Lee, Cornejo and others would start on February 14.
The DOJ said last January that an all-women panel would handle the multiple complaints filed by the TV host and actor.
