Iya Villania, Drew Arellano finally tie the knot

MANILA, Philippines—No matter how long the procession is, it will head nowhere else but the Church.

Proving the Filipino proverb right, celebrity couple Iya Villania and Drew Arellano took their 10-year relationship to the next level and finally tied the knot on Friday.

The television hosts exchanged their lifetime vows in a private ceremony around 3 p.m. at at Meditation Point, Kawayan Cove in Nasugbu, Batangas.

The supposed secret wedding of the 34-year-old travel host and Villania, 27, was made public by singer Paolo Valenciano in his Instagram account.

He posted photos before the wedding started and while Villania was walking down the aisle in a white bridal gown.

Before the guests began coming in the outdoor wedding, Valenciano took a photo of the groom while doing his “last minute inspections.”

Saying it was the “best wedding sign EVER,” the direction sign going to the venue of wedding showing Arellano carrying Villania was also captured by the singer, who is a son of veteran singer Gary Valenciano.

Last 2012, Villania said “I think he’s ready. Maybe he’s waiting for me,” when asked by the press what was keeping her and longtime beau from finally tying the knot.

“We’re happy where we are right now. Drew is in his 30s … He’s really patient with me,” she said.
In a previous Inquirer report, the female host and dancer said, “When the time is right, we’ll know it.”
The couple had been lauded for their romance that “crossed network lines.” Villania is from ABS-CBN, while Arellano is a talent of GMA.
