Drama Star wants to move to another station

/ 09:44 PM August 30, 2011

Friends are rushing to help Joseph Bitangcol.

A very well-placed source glimpsed an office memo. Mole says the memo indicated that Drama Star wants out of Top Studio. “Her contract will end soon,” Mole explains. “She plans to move to Rival Station.”

Seems the feeling is mutual. TS is unhappy with DS’ lackluster performance of late. What makes our spy’s blood boil is that DS is urging Former Flame to cross over with her.

Then again, all this could be part of the game plan of DS’ handlers. Perhaps they just want to up DS’ market value by sparking a bidding war.

Hunky Actor worked hard on a so-called indie movie, since it was going to be his big-screen debut. After over a year, the producer has yet to pay HA— and it’s a minuscule talent fee, ha!

Gotta hand it to these Superb Actresses. Whenever her phone rings and she is not keen on chatting, SA 1 changes her voice, pretending to be the help. SA 2 has the same nasty quirk— you know, speaking in tongues.

The two are also notoriously flighty and have been chided by peers for lack of professionalism.

Bullying underlings

Mole spotted Showbiz Insider in a fast-food chain.

SI, in a foul mood, was berating an assistant. Everyone around them was embarrassed for the poor assistant. Worse, it was a very petty matter and SI was just taking it out on her employee.

Patayin sa Shokot!

Screen Veteran is notorious for being assertive and aggressive. He insists on getting his way and, when he doesn’t, he makes sure to make his displeasure known.

SV got involved in a minor traffic mishap. In his usual belligerent tone, SV screamed at the other motorist: “Don’t you know who I am?” The man got out of his car, collared SV and was about to slug him, but the cowed celeb pleaded, “Don’t hit me! I’m gay!”

As Remington would say: Awaaard!

For Joseph

A benefit screening of “Ligo na U, Lapit na Me” will be held tomorrow at the UP Film Center, 5 and 7 p.m. Proceeds are earmarked for the medical expenses of actor Joseph Bitagcol, who figured in a car mishap recently. The indie film’s distributor, Regal, has donated a sizable amount to aid Joseph’s recovery, too.

Top of the Talk Shows

For those who missed last weekend’s TV gabfests  (And why we are moved, if we are moved):

Aljur Abrenica on helping raise money for friend Joseph Bitangcol’s surgery: “Pare-parehas tayo ng trabaho, eh. Kung may kaya kang itulong, itulong mo na.”

Solenn Heussaff on her love life: “May excitement sa buhay ko ngayon!” (That’s all there is to it.)

Vicki Belo on the revocation of boyfriend Hayden Kho’s medical license: “I am filled with sadness… Being a doctor myself, I know how difficult the journey was — years of studying and endless sleepless nights on duty, not to mention the huge cost of a medical education that his parents sacrificed for.” (Seems he forgot these, too.)

(Wala?)

Sarah Geronimo on the possibility of working with Superstar Nora Aunor: “Natatakot ako! Siyempre si Nora Aunor ’yun, eh!” (Oo nga.)

Bea Alonzo on Zanjoe Marudo admitting on television that he’s in love with her: “Ang sarap sa pakiramdam kasi proud siya… Nakakakilig sa totoo lang!” (Pero friends lang sila.)

Jolina Magdangal on former onscreen sweetheart Marvin Agustin: “Siya po ang patay na patay sa ’kin dati!” (If she may say so herself.)

Rachelle Ann Go, asked if she’s entertaining suitors right now: “‘Di ko alam kung may nagpaparamdam kasi ayokong magsalita na nanliligaw hangga’t wala namang pagpapaalam na nagaganap. Paano kung nagiging mabait lang ’yun tao? Ayokong bigyan ng kulay. Merong mababait pero ayokong i-entertain kasi nga mahirap na’t baka iba ang intensiyon.” (Sounds like a yes/no.)

Patrick Garcia on the possibility of getting back with ex Jennylyn Mercado: “We don’t know the future. Basta i-enjoy na lang muna natin ’yung life.” (Sounds like a …maybe.)
