Dominic Roque confirms he and Sue Ramirez are dating

More than a month after Dominic Roque and Sue Ramirez were spotted in Siargao, Roque confirmed that he and the actress are dating, and are enjoying each other’s company.

Roque briefly spoke about his relationship status with Ramirez on the sidelines of the premiere night of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry “The Kingdom” in Quezon City, when asked about his appearance during the event. He was joined by Cristine Reyes’ boyfriend and fellow actor Marco Gumabao.

The actress is one of the lead stars of “The Kingdom,” where she stars as Dayang Lualhati, daughter of the Kingdom of Kalayaan’s ruler Lakan Makisig (Vic Sotto). Reyes, on the other hand, portrays Dayang Matimyas.

Roque, who attended the premiere night with Marco Gumabao, was asked why he attended the event. “Para sa sarili ko (For myself),” he replied in jest before following up with: “Para kay Sue (For Sue), of course. Para kay Cristine, barkada ko rin si Cristine (For Cristine too. Cristine and I are friends).”

The actor was then asked about his reaction to the “DominSue” tandem, an apparent play on his and Ramirez’s name.

“Happy. Pinagpapawisan ako… Wala na akong ibang masabi, Merry Christmas na lang (I’m sweating. I have nothing to say, just Merry Christmas),” he said.

Roque was then asked if he and the actress are already in a relationship.

“Wala, wala… We’re dating,” he said. “Happy naman kami together. We’re going out and ayun, kinikilala namin ang isa’t isa (No, no. We’re dating. We’re happy together. We’re going out and we’re getting to know each other better).”

Roque’s remark echoes Ramirez’s statement when she was asked about their current status on the sidelines of the “The Kingdom’s” press conference earlier this month.

Relationship rumors sparked when they were spotted getting intimate at a gathering with friends in Siargao last November until they were seen together on multiple occasions.

Roque was previously in a relationship with Bea Alonzo and was even set on marrying her until they parted ways sometime in 2024.

Ramirez, on the other hand, was romantically involved with Victorias City, Negros Occidental mayor Javi Benitez for five years. Shortly after romance rumors hounded the actress and Roque, Benitez confirmed they had already broken up last July.
