MMFF 2024 Parade of Stars: Everything to know, expect
The Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Parade of Stars 2024 is set to kick off Saturday, Dec. 21, in Manila, with its signature extravagant floats, showcasing the brightest stars of each film entry for this year’s festival.
As movie enthusiasts, fans, and the general public look forward to cheering for their favorites while colorful and fancy floats pass by, here are the things you need to know about the parade.
The parade will commence at 2 p.m., starting from Kartilya ng Katipunan and concluding at the Manila Central Post Office at possibly around 8:00 or 9:00 PM.
Covering a 12-kilometer route, the motorcade is expected to last approximately six to seven hours, depending on the flow of the event, crowd conditions, and traffic management.

Article continues after this advertisementMotorists are advised to expect heavy traffic and consider alternative routes, as some lanes along the parade path will be temporarily closed starting at 12 p.m.
Article continues after this advertisementA fan concert will also be held at the Manila Central Post Office. The event is free and open to all but requires a registration, for which the link can be found on the MMFF’s Facebook page with further instructions. Gates will open at 3 p.m.
The concert is expected to feature artists Bamboo, Jason Dy, and Drag Queens of the Philippines, among others.
The MMFF Parade of Stars 2024 will feature 10 elaborately designed floats, each representing an official MMFF entry. Celebrities aboard these floats are expected to include Vice Ganda, Eugene Domingo, Gladys Reyes, Dennis Trillo, Ruru Madrid, Aicelle Santos, Bituin Escalante, Vic Sotto, Piolo Pascual, Enrique Gil, Jane De Leon, Alexa Miro, Judy Ann Santos, Lorna Tolentino, Carlo Aquino, Julia Barretto, Francine Diaz, Seth Fedelin, Arjo Atayde, Julia Montes, Sid Lucero, Enchong Dee, Kokoy de Santos, Vilma Santos, Nadine Lustre, and Aga Muhlach, among others.
In anticipation of large crowds, approximately 3,000 personnel from the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), Manila City government, Office of the Civil Defense-National Capital Region, and Philippine National Police will be deployed along the parade route to manage the crowd and ensure a smooth flow of activities.
The MMFF will run from December 25, 2024, to January 7, 2025, featuring the following official entries:
