Focus on young stars’ romances scored
Cora Miguel, accountant: “I watched show biz-oriented TV shows last Sunday and observed that about 80 percent of their news items focused on young actors and actresses’ romances. Can we grow up and not dwell on their cheap thrills? Let’s focus, instead, on their craft and performances. Why should we care about whom they’re dating?”
Other notes:
Vincent Paul Evangelista, musical theater actor: “I felt proud hearing Charice Pempengco’s ‘Pyramid’ playing in a pub in the suburbs of Houston, Texas! It reminded me that some time ago, Charice really made her mark here in the United States.”
Fewer commercials
Josie Mandac, televiewer: “I wish local TV programs would have fewer commercials—but, a top-rated weekend show doesn’t seem to know when to stop. It still features subliminal advertisements ‘wisely’ incorporated into its featured stories!

“Requests for Ms Reynes: Please find time to shed those unwanted pounds—and go back to singing. Recently, I caught her singing on TV and realized that her fine pipes are still intact!”
Orly Alonzo, office employee: “The management of SM cinemas should be commended for screening the entries of Sineng Pambansa. I hope it isn’t the last time we see those unconventional feature films in their theaters!”
