James Reid to heat up Miss Universe Philippines 2025 finale stage

James Reid will be back onstage to deliver another performance, this time for the final competition show of the Miss Universe Philippines 2025 pageant.
The national pageant announced on social media on Monday afternoon, April 14, that the singer-actor will grace the final competition program of its sixth edition.
“Ready to vibe with him, Universe? Catch James Reid at The Coronation on May 2, 2025, 6pm at the Mall of Asia Arena!” the Miss Universe Philippines pageant posted.
The pageant also posted a new video on social media using Reid’s performance of “Chase,” which is included in the Miss Universe Philippines 2025’s official soundtrack.
Written by Reid, Kiko “KIKX” Salazar, and ALAS, the song served as the background to clips from the delegates’ runway showcase videos and outtakes.
Since focusing on his career as musician and founding Careless Music, Reid has produced numerous singles, the most recent ones being “Randomantic,” “Sandal,” and “Your Boy.”
He has also collaborated with Korean idol B.I. for “Jacuzzi,” produced by Grammy Award-winner DJ Flict.
The Miss Universe Philippines pageant had earlier announced that Kapuso actress Gabbi Garcia will return as host this year, after debuting in the 2024 contest.
Joining her onstage is Xian Lim, with Tim Yap and radio host Erika Kristensen-Lee manning the events backstage.
Sixty-six delegates are competing in this year’s pageant, all vying to inherit the Miss Universe Philippines title from last year’s winner Chelsea Manalo, who became the first-ever Miss Universe Asia in the 2024 international contest in Mexico.
Her eventual successor will represent the Philippines in the 74th Miss Universe pageant in Thailand in November, and try to become the fifth Filipino woman to bring home the crown.
