Did Philmar Alipayo have his ‘224’ tattoo altered?

After making headlines for getting a matching tattoo with his female best friend, Siargao-based surfer Philmar Alipayo caught netizens’ eyes with his new photo that seemed to indicate the tattoo had gone through some alterations.

Alipayo recently shared a photo with a friend where he was shirtless, with his body tattoos showing. Netizens then pointed out that the place where once the “224” tattoo was inked is seemingly covered or topped with a new design.

As of writing, Alipayo is yet to confirm if the tattoo had indeed .undergone some changes.

Last month, Alipayo’s partner, former actress Andi Eigenmann, aired her frustration on social media after the former and his best friend Swedish photographer Pernilla Sjoo got a matching “224” tattoo. 

According to Sjoo’s Instagram post which has now been deleted after the account got deactivated, the “224” means “2Today, 2Tomorrow, 4Forever.” At the time, Alipayo and Eigenmann aired their lovers’ spat, which was settled after a few days.

Amid their reconciliation, Alipayo surprised Eigenmann on Valentine’s Day with a bouquet of banana blossoms.

The professional surfer also previously celebrated a major social media milestone as he hit 1 million followers on Facebook amid the controversies.

Eigenmann and Alipayo were also spotted getting new tattoos. The actress got inked with a palm branch, while the design Alipayo got was not shown at the time.

The couple started dating in 2018 and got engaged two years later. They share two children, Lilo and Koa.
