Actress and singer Gladys Guevarra urged the public to respect each other’s opinions and to pray for the government to “heal,” after the arrest of former President Rodrigo Duterte for crimes against humanity charges before the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Guevarra began her lengthy Instagram post on Thursday, March 13, by acknowledging the differences in political beliefs among Filipinos and recalling her encounter with Duterte years back.

Guevarra said she does not want to quarrel with anyone as she disclosed that she is not a registered voter in the country.

At di ko na nanaisin pang muli,” she continued.

“‘Wag na tayo magpaka-isip bata ngayon ha? Wala ng unfriend-an, wag tayo ang mag away away,” she added. “Irespeto niyo opinyon ng bawat isa… Ang maganda n’yan, ipagdasal natin na mag-heal ang government, mag-heal ang lahat ng nasaktang pamilya ng gobyerno, physical man ‘yan o emotional being nila, at manatiling safe ang bawat Filipino lalo ngayon.”
