Seo Ye-ji denies relationship rumors with Kim Soo-hyun

South Korean actress Seo Ye-ji dismissed dating rumors with actor Kim Soo-hyun, who’s facing allegations about previously engaging in a “predatory relationship” with the late Kim Sae-ron.
Ye-ji denied any romantic involvement with Soo-hyun through her official fan cafe where she uploaded a screenshot of a netizen’s comment that reads, “Did you have an affair with Kim Soo-hyun? Please don’t disappoint us a second time. I just read the news on TikTok.”
The actress responded to express her frustration over the rumor, writing, “I wish this would stop now. I have no relationship with him. I don’t even know why I have to clarify this, but today I’m feeling very frustrated.”
In April 2021, Ye-ji and Soo-hyun became the center of dating rumors after working on the critically acclaimed drama “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay,” which is set to receive a Philippine adaptation starring Anne Curtis and Joshua Garcia.
At the time, Ye-ji allegedly also dated Soo-hyun’s cousin, director Lee Robe. The late YouTuber Kim Yong-ho claimed a love triangle between the three, stressing that the actress dated Robe after breaking up with Soo-hyun.
The same year, Ye-ji also faced another controversy when text messages between her and her then boyfriend Kim Jung-hyun, known for his role as Gu Seung-joon in “Crash Landing on You,” got leaked.
Based on the messages screenshots, Ye-ji instructed Jung-hyun to act harshly towards his female co-star, Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun, when they were filming a drama, because she was getting “jealous” over their intimate scenes.
Meanwhile, Soo-hyun is facing industry backlash after he was accused of “grooming” Sae-ron, who died by suicide at the age of 24 on February 16, the actor’s birthday.
After the young actress’ death, a woman who claimed to be her aunt alleged that Sae-ron was in a relationship with Soo-hyun for six years, which started when the former was 15 years old, while the actor was 27.
Intimate photos between Soo-hyun and Sae-ron were also leaked online, seemingly confirming their relationship.
