Kim Soo-hyun’s agency GoldMedalist announced that it will clarify its stand regarding the allegations surrounding the actor and his alleged romantic involvement with the late actress Kim Sae-ron and other related claims by next week.

The then-27-year-old Soo-hyun was earlier alleged to be in a relationship with Sae-ron for six years when the latter was still 15, as stated by a woman claiming to be the late actress’ aunt in a HoverLab Inc. interview. The woman also accused GoldMedalist — which used to be the agency of the Sae-ron — of financial misconduct and lack of support during the height of her DUI scandal in 2022.

These claims, however, were firmly denied by the actor’s agency GoldMedalist with plans to take the “strongest legal action” against the online platform.

With the recent claims involving the actor, GoldMedalist announced on Thursday, March 13 that it will release a “clear and substantiated position” regarding Soo-hyun’s alleged romance with Sae-ron, among other claims next week.

Production for Soo-hyun’s upcoming K-drama “Knock-Off,” which also stars Jo Bo-ah, will proceed as scheduled despite the controversy, its production company Disney+ Korea said in a statement.

“The actors are filming onsite as scheduled. There have been no special changes or alterations. The schedule for the production and its press conference has not been finalized as well,” it said in Korean via OSEN.

Soo-hyun, who made his acting debut in 2007, is best known for his lead roles in “Queen of Tears,” “Dream High,” “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay,” “My Love from the Star,” “Moon Embracing the Sun,” and “The Thieves,” to name a few.

Meanwhile, Sae-ron died at the age of 24 on Feb. 16, 2025, which authorities ruled as suicide. She is notable for her work in the films “The Man from Nowhere” and “A Brand New Life,” as well as the K-dramas “The Queen’s Classroom,” “Hi! School: Love On,” and “Secret Healer.”
