Ice Seguerra is returning to the OPM scene with his first all-original album “I Am Ice,” which will showcase his soulful voice and songwriting skills, scheduled for a June 2025 release.
Seguerra’s “I Am Ice” album was announced by Fire and Ice Entertainment in a press statement, which will contain 10 original songs written by Seguerra and collaborations with music producer Jonathan Manalo, as well as emerging and veteran songwriters.
The announcement of the album came three years after his concert “Becoming Ice,” which marked the first time the singer-songwriter used “Ice Seguerra” at a show. For him, it was a “big risk” because fans have known him as Aiza for 35 years.
“It was my first time to use Ice Seguerra in a concert… While I’ve come to a point where I don’t mind being called Aiza, it feels good to fully embrace my identity as a transman and know that even as Ice, they’re still there for me,” he said. “That’s why I gained the courage to work on my first all-original album. Imagine, I’ve been in the industry this long, and only now am I releasing all-original songs.”
Liza Diño-Seguerra also expressed how proud she is of the “Pagdating Ng Panahon” singer for “embracing” his true identity as an artist and a songwriter.
“He has always been insecure about his songwriting, but it’s such a big part of him. I’ve seen times when he proposed original songs for his albums, but labels were accustomed to him singing others’ songs because he brought new interpretations to them,” she said.

Touching on Seguerra’s upcoming album, Diño-Seguerra said the release comes at the “perfect timing” when singer-songwriters are carving their respective paths in the music scene.
“It’s a gift to not only do justice to existing songs, [but] at times even make them better. That’s Ice, and that’s been his signature. But in this era of singer-songwriters, where artists release all-original tracks and feature one or two covers, I believe the timing is perfect,” she said.
Seguerra started his entertainment career as a contestant in “Eat Bulaga’s” “Little Miss Philippines” kids pageant before joining the noontime show. Aside from his music career, he appeared in TV shows and films including “Okay Ka, Fairy Ko!,” “Si Agimat, si Enteng Kabisote at si Ako,” and “Enteng Kabisote 10 and the Abangers,” to name a few.
He came out as a transgender man in August 2014 and started his hormone replacement therapy four years later.
