Min Bernardo, mother of Kathryn Bernardo, addressed fans of the actress, reminding them to be wary of fake news circulating on social media.

Min made the reminder while speaking to Tita Long Gumatay, founder of one of the fan clubs dedicated to Kathryn, as seen in a video shared on the latter’s Facebook page on Sunday, Feb. 23.

“‘Wag kayo masyadong naniniwala sa mga fake news,” she then addressed them.

While Min did not state the particular “fake news” she was referring to, it can be noted that several claims about Kathryn and her personal matters have been making rounds on social media.

Among them is Kathryn’s alleged reconciliation with her actor ex-boyfriend Daniel Padilla, as claimed by social media personality Christian Gaza. Gaza claimed that the pair has been communicating and meeting again, although he said that it was not immediately known if the actors are in a relationship again.

Both Kathryn and Padilla have yet to comment on the matter as of this writing.

Kathryn and Padilla were in a relationship for 11 years before they confirmed in November 2023 that they had broken up. The reason behind the split was not immediately disclosed to the public.
