It was an unforgettable 28th birthday celebration for Felip, also known as SB19’s Ken, as he represented the Philippines at the D.U.N.K (Dance Universe Never Killed) showcase in Japan.

The showcase, co-produced by Nippon Television Network Corp. and SKY-HI, puts the spotlight on music artists and dance groups from Japan and other countries.

This year’s event took place at the K-Arena Yokohama in Kanagawa, Japan, on Jan. 12-13. Coincidentally, the 12th of the month is the solo artist and SB19 member’s birthday.

Felip took to his X (formerly Twitter) Jan. 13 to thank his fans for the birthday greetings and express his gratitude for performing at “one of the biggest stages” in his career.

“The show was really massive and one of the biggest stages I’ve performed in. It’s such a huge honor! Thank you for all the birthday greetings!! See you guys later for Day 2 of the D.U.N.K. Showcase! Arigato Gozaimasu (Thank you),” he wrote.

In a separate post, Felip also shared a glimpse of his moments during the two-day showcase. Among the photos include him posing at the showcase venue, interacting with Japanese artists, and receiving birthday gifts.

“D.U.N.K. festival photo dump. Thank you so much! I will remember this forever,” he captioned his post.

The “Fake Faces” singer, who was the only Filipino at the event, was joined by SKY-HI, Kaito Takahashi, PsychicFever, &Team, Be:First, Aile The Shota, XY and Mazzel, among others.

Felip is the first SB19 member to debut as a solo artist in September 2021. He released his first EP (extended play), “COM•PLEX,” in February 2023 and his first album “7sins” in July 2024.

Born Felip Jhon Suson, he debuted as the main dancer, lead vocalist and lead rapper of SB19 using the name Ken. He goes by his mononym during his solo promotional activities.
