Chito Miranda declared his unwavering love for his wife Neri Naig on their 10th wedding anniversary even as the latter faces charges of syndicated estafa and violations of securities regulation code.
On Instagram, the Parokya ni Edgar frontman expressed that Naig is a testament that people can face challenges and still choose to remain kind.
“After 10 years of being married, masasabi ko talaga na mas mahal pa kita ngayon kesa nung una tayong nagmahalan (I can really say that I love you more now than I did before). Sobrang nagpapasalamat ako kay God dahil bliness Nya ako (I’m grateful to God for blessing me) with someone as wonderful and as loving and as sweet as you. You are living proof that one can go through hell and back and still choose to be kind,” he wrote.
Miranda vowed to be a steady presence for his wife through ups and downs.
“Sobrang blessed ng mga anak natin (our children are blessed) to have you as their mom, and sobrang swerte ako (I’m lucky) to have you in my life, and I have never been happier. I will always take care of you, protect you, and will always love you hanggang tumanda tayo (until we grow old). I will always be with you, through thick and thin, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part,” he concluded his post.
Last month, Naig was arrested and detained at the Pasay City Jail female dormitory for charges of estafa, which originated from her prior endorsement of an embattled dermatological company.
On Dec. 4, the Pasay court ordered the actress-businesswoman’s release after her motion to quash was partially granted. The release papers were served at the hospital where Naig was taken for “medical evaluation.”
