Sharon Cuneta reflected on her renewed friendship with Gabby Concepcion as she showed off the friendship ring the latter gifted her during their concert tour.
The Megastar spoke about their recently concluded “Dear Heart” concert tour held in the United States and Canada, as seen on “TV Patrol” on Friday, Dec. 13.
“I wasn’t sure that we would really get along the whole time, but we did and we became closer,” she said of their tandem. “It took us decades to get here so it’s a blessing.”
Cuneta was also asked about the ring Concepcion gave her, which the veteran actress-singer was wearing at the time of the interview.
She even quipped how she would hold Concepcion to their friendship because of the ring he gave her, and expect that there would be no issues in their upcoming projects.
Prior to this, Concepcion also expressed gratitude after he and Cuneta “got closer again” and “understood each other better.” In one of their shows, the former couple and love team turned emotional on the stage as they were nearing the end of their tour.
The love team of Cuneta and Gabby, dubbed as “ShaGab,” began after they starred in the 1981 film “Dear Heart.” Three years after the movie was released, Cuneta and Gabby got married, then welcomed their daughter KC Concepcion a year later.
The pair had their marriage annulled in 1987.
