Filipino host-comedian Vice Ganda was seemingly not impressed by the Miss Universe 2024 presentation as he shared his pointed criticism on social media.

On Monday, Nov. 17, Vice Ganda took to X (formerly Twitter) to question how “ugly” the Miss Universe’s production was presented this year.

“Lasing at puyat lang ba ko o talagang ang panget ng presentation nitong #MissUniverse2024???” he wrote

(Am I just drunk and running low on sleep but is the #MissUniverse2024 presentation really ugly???)

The “It’s Showtime” host’s comment was echoed by the netizens, who also criticized the format and overall execution of the 73rd Miss Universe.

“It really is ugly, ma’am. There seems to be no structure or theme. They just want to get over with it already,” remarked one X user.

“It really is ugly Meme. MGI is even better. Thailand entered the Top 12 over Philippines? What a sham! I turned off the TV when they didn’t call Philippines,” lamented another netizen.

At the end of the coronation night in Mexico on Saturday, Nov. 16 (Nov. 17 Sunday morning in the Philippines), Sheynnis Palacios found her new successor in Victoria Kjær Theilvig from Denmark, the newly crowned Miss Universe 2024.

Like Palacios, Theilvig also made history by becoming the first Danish queen to bring home the Miss Universe title.

Philippine bet Chelsea Manalo fell short to make it to the Top 12 of this year’s Miss Universe competition. She was supposedly vying to give the country its fifth crown.

After Manalo’s noteworthy performance in this year’s Miss Universe, the “ASAP Natin To Live” hosts thanked Manalo on air for doing her best to bring home the crown to the Philippines.

“She is our newest global Pinoy pride. We’re every proud of you, Chelsea,” said actress-host Alexa Ilacad.
