Angie Mead King, whose sports car earlier caught fire while she was driving it, assured her followers that she is okay and that her lungs now feel fine.
The celebrity racer-businesswoman expressed her gratitude to those who extended their concern and well-wishes for her after the incident, through her Instagram page on Thursday, Nov. 7. The car fire incident happened while Angie was driving along the South Luzon Expressway (SLEx) also on Thursday.
“Thank you for checking in on me. I’m alive and lungs feel fine now. It was a short lived experience and I think the NSX is a pure drivers car,” she said, referring to her vehicle that caught fire.
“One day I’ll get another one for sure but for now I’ll live another day,” she underscored.
Angie then thanked the person who helped and picked her up at SLEx when she got out of her burning car, describing the latter as a “Good Samaritan.”
“The fire, towing and SLEX police were amazing and wanted to thank them for the speedy service,” she added. “This was traumatic to say the least and a fire extinguisher wouldn’t have put out the flames at all.”
Fellow celebrities lamented the unfortunate incident, but expressed relief that Angie is safe.
