Just in time for the spooky season, Nadine Lustre’s second film project with Mikhail Red, “Nokturno,” will premiere on a streaming platform on October 31.

The premiere date of “Nokturno” was announced on a streaming platform’s social media accounts. The post also included scenes from the film, including Lustre and her co-star Eula Valdez looking at an unknown figure with expressions of horror.

Meanwhile, the trailer showed a glimpse of an overseas Filipino worker named Jamie (Lustre) returning to her hometown to uncover the mysterious ancient curse that killed her sister Joanna (Binene).

The trailer also featured Jamie confronting her mother Lilet (Eula Valdez) for not protecting her sister.

Lustre previously revealed in an August 2023 story conference that “Nokturno” is a project she always wanted to do, although she clarified that she doesn’t want to be boxed into the horror genre.

The Mikhail Red-helmed film is the second time where Lustre will portray the lead of a horror flick after the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2022 entry “Deleter.” She was also part of the 2015 horror movie “Chain Mail” as a supporting character.
