“Starstruck” and “Pinoy Big Brother” alum Jesi Corcuera—who goes by the pronouns he or him—announced that he’s pregnant with his first child.
Corcuera announced his pregnancy on Instagram on Saturday, October 5, as he shared his unusual pregnancy journey, as well as his wish to become a parent since 2018.
“I started planning to have a baby in 2018. At that time, I struggled with a lot of things, especially financially, since the expense of having a baby via IVF (in vitro fertilization) is no laughing matter. And then Cams and her children returned to me, I thought that it was a sign from the Lord,” she said in Filipino. Cams is the name of her life partner.
Corcuera shared that being a father to Cams’ children helped him in preparing to be a parent. He also disclosed that being a father through pregnancy was his “last option” to having a child of his own.
“Fast forward to this year, I didn’t expect my child to be formed through my last option — where I’ll carry it myself. But I’m very thankful that the Lord gave this blessing to me. This process wasn’t easy for me, so I hope you won’t judge what you’re seeing now,” he said.
Corcuera also said that having children has been his lifelong dream, and rearing the children of his partner has helped him to his own growth as a parent.
“What I want is simple, to have kids that I can call my own. In all my decisions in life, Cams and her children are a huge part of who I am now. Come join me in my new journey. I hope this will serve as a lesson and inspiration to many,” further said.
Corcuera opened up about sustaining chest scars from a chest surgery in October 2021. He, however, remained tightlipped when he came out as a trans man.
After joining “Pinoy Big Brother” and “Starstruck,” he is currently a vlogger with over 276,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel.
