Miss Asia Pacific International Chaiyenne Huisman‘s five-year reign is finally coming to an end, and the Spanish beauty hopes fans will take to heart the pageant’s advocacy of embracing differences.
For this year’s staging of the pageant, the comeback edition of the Manila-based global tilt, the organizers are pushing the advocacy through its “Celebrate Every Hue” campaign.
“‘Celebrate Every Hue’ is all about honoring the beauty of diversity. It reminds us that strength lies in embracing the uniqueness of each person. To me, it’s more than just about different skin tones—it’s a celebration of our cultures, stories, and experiences that shape who we are,” Huisman told INQUIRER.net in an online interview.
“Each hue tells a story, represents a culture, and adds a unique perspective to the world. By celebrating diversity, we create a more inclusive space where differences are not only respected but cherished,” she added.
Huisman also called on the global community to celebrate diversity “by creating spaces where everyone feels seen, valued, and heard. It’s about lifting each other up—whether by sharing stories, embracing different cultures, or promoting inclusivity.
“Celebrating every hue means championing authenticity, encouraging people to take pride in their heritage, and highlighting the unique beauty that diversity brings. In pageantry, this means standing together, not as competitors but as a united community, recognizing that each hue adds to the vibrant tapestry of who we are as individuals and as a global family,” she said.

Huisman received the crown in 2019 before the international pageant took an unplanned break because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Five years later, she reflected on her extended reign.
“I’m filled with immense gratitude and fulfillment. Holding this title has been an honor beyond words—it allowed me to represent not just the crown, but the grace, strength, and purpose that Miss Asia Pacific International stands for,” she shared.
While letting go of her crown is “bittersweet” for her, Huisman is looking forward to passing her title to someone she hopes embodies “true poise—not just in her walk, but in how she handles challenges with grace and strength.”
For her, the next queen “should radiate positivity, becoming a beacon of hope and inspiration for those who look up to her, especially young girls.”
“She should be proud of her roots and celebrate them boldly, using her unique background to connect, uplift, and make an impact on the world. Ultimately, I want to see someone who empowers others and leaves behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and purpose,” Huisman added.
The new Miss Asia Pacific International titleholder will be proclaimed at the coronation night that will take place at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City on Monday, Oct. 7.
