Vice Ganda spoke about the flooding in the country, seemingly taking a swipe at politicians whose calamity response only includes relief operations instead of providing concrete solutions.
The comedian-TV host addressed this concern through an animated skit shared on his TikTok page on Tuesday, Aug. 27.
The video begins with clips from recent flooding situations in the country, then shifts to Vice Ganda who portrays the role of public servant YorMEME.
Yormeme was asked by reporters what she did to help her constituents after a flooding five years ago. “Hirap na hirap ang mga constituents ko kaya namigay ako ng relief goods—mga hygiene kits at sardinas.”
She was then asked about her solution to the flooding her constituents experienced in the previous year, to which she replied, “Kitang-kita ko ang pagdurusa [nila] kaya naman namigay ulit ako ng relief good.”
The reporter then pointed out that recent heavy rains caused flooding to Yormeme’s town, asking the latter again what she plans to do about it.
“Of course, of course, of course, hindi ko sila pwedeng pabayaan. Mamimigay ako sa lahat ng constituents ko ng mga relief goods—’yung mga hygiene kits and sardinas,” Yormeme said.
“Solusyon? Alam mo kasi, mahirap ‘yang solusyon,” she continued. “Kaya ang gagawin ko na lang ay mamimigay nang paulit-ulit ng relief goods… ‘Pag inisip ko pa kasi ‘yang mga solusyon na ‘yan ay baka hindi na ako makapag-TikTok.”

Yormeme further noted that her constituents are “resilient” and that they would be able to recover again after receiving relief goods. She also added that her constituents would still vote for her despite her incompetence.
To conclude her video, Vice Ganda left a remark that read, “Natanggap na po namin ang relief goods. Salamat po! ‘Yung solusyon po sa baha, kailan?”
