Socialite-influencer Cat Arambulo issued a public apology after her video, in which she thought of using a “floatie” and a “wakeboard” in the flood caused by typhoon Carina, drew ire from the public.

In Arambulo’s now-deleted TikTok video, she can be seen documenting herself, her kids and a few other companions inside a vehicle while wading through a flooded street.

Her daughter Alana then suggested using a floatie and then swimming in the flood, to which Arambulo replied, “You want a floatie? Safe bang mag-floatie d’yan?”

Turning to her house helper, Arambulo asked, “Safe kayang mag-floatie d’yan, yaya? I guess so. It’s just water. Should we try? We should wakeboard.”
