Ruffa Gutierrez sends off daughter Venice to study in US

Ruffa Gutierrez could not help but shed tears of sadness and joy as her youngest daughter Venice flew to the United States for her studies.
The celebrity mom showed moments from when she sent Venice off, as seen on the actress’ Instagram page on Friday, Aug. 16.
“Today, my youngest daughter, Venice, will spread her wings and begin a new chapter in her life as a university student,” Ruffa said in the caption.
“Saying goodbye is so difficult! I’ve been ugly crying for an hour now but I know that you will be chasing your dreams while forging new friendships,” she stated, adding the hashtags “sad but proud mom” and “empty nester.”
Ruffa also addressed her eldest daughter Lorin, who is also studying in the US, and asked to be a “caring ate” to her younger sister and visit her often.

While it was not immediately known which university Venice will be attending, Ruffa said in a separate Instagram Story that her youngest daughter will be staying in Texas.
“Crying our eyes out and locked in a deep embrace as we all go our separate ways,” she captioned a photo of herself and her daughters hugging at an airport.

Ruffa also reposted a photo of Venice with her dad Yilmaz Bektas, who expressed his love for his daughter despite their distance.

Ruffa has been a single mom to Lorin and Venice since she parted ways with Yilmaz in 2007. The former couple’s annulment was granted in February 2012.
