Nancy McDonie says she’d love to work with Miguel Tanfelix in a project
South Korean idol Nancy McDonie expressed her enthusiasm to work with Miguel Tanfelix on a project after they got paired up in a “soulmate challenge” in the second season of the reality show “Running Man Philippines.”
In an online interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” the former Momoland member was asked about her thoughts on the possibility of her working with Tanfelix for a project in the Philippines.
“He was so nice. He was such a sweet guy. I mean, if there’s an opportunity, I would love to. I remember he was translating all day for me. So he probably had a really hard day. I’m really thankful for that because I didn’t understand Tagalog that well,” she shared.
When the episode aired last Sunday, McDonie and Tanfelix trended on X (formerly Twitter), with some fans expressing their hope for a project between the two.
“Unexpected pairing, but may chemistry #MigCy,” said one fan.

Given that “Running Man Philippines” is based on the popular South Korean television variety series of the same title, McDonie said she was surprised by the Philippine team’s competency.
“I was very surprised they came all the way to Korea to film Running Man, and my first impression was everyone was so athletic and so competitive. So I was like, I need to keep my head straight. I need to try my best to win the game,” she explained.
In late 2019, McDonie was initially paired up with James Reid for the K-drama-like structure series “The Soulmate Project,” but with the pandemic, the project got postponed. After a year, Reid announced that he’s departing from the show.
In April of this year, McDonie signed a contract as an artist under Sparkle GMA Artist Center.
On the other hand, Tanfelix is “exclusively dating” his on-screen partner, Ysabel Ortega.
