Gary Valenciano marks 40th anniversary with Angeli Pangilinan: Quite a marriage

On their wedding anniversary, Gary Valenciano looked back on his 40-year marriage with Angeli Pangilinan while also looking forward to spending more years together.
Gary dedicated a message for Angeli through his Instagram page on Tuesday, Aug. 6.
“Hon, it’s been quite a trip, quite a journey, quite a ride, quite a union, quite a partnership, quite a relationship, quite a marriage. We’re now 40 years, hon,” the veteran singer said.
“Only by God’s grace have we lasted this long and only by His grace will we have many more years together. ‘Til death do us part,” he stated, reaffirming their wedding vows. “I know we didn’t prepare much for each other for this year but just being together…being with you, like being by the ocean this way, is what really really matters.”

The couple celebrated the occasion as well as Gary’s recent 60th birthday over a simple brunch in California, as seen on their son Paolo’s Instagram page. Their children Gab and Kiana Valenciano, and nephew Donny Pangilinan were with them as well.

Gary regards Angeli as “one of the major reasons why [he’s] still alive,” as the latter stood by him through all the health problems he has faced. Among these was when he underwent surgery to remove cancer from his kidney, and when he underwent a bypass procedure. Gary has also been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes.
