Filipino celebrity couple Lovely Abella and Benj Manalo had a “spiritual birthday” as they both recently got baptized together as Christians.
Abella took to her Instagram account on Wednesday, June 19, to share some snaps of her and Manalo’s water baptism.
“Spiritual birthday namin today. Father God, thank you for your faithfulness. Grabe ka talaga, salamat po talaga,” the actress wrote in the caption. “Thank you, sa aming [Victory Greenhills] family, sa pag gabay para mas lalo namin makilala ang ating Lord and Savior,” she added.
Abella and Manalo tied the knot in January 2021 and welcomed their first child last year. The two each had a child from their previous relationships, Crisha and Nathan, respectively.
Meanwhile, Abella’s “Hello, Love, Goodbye” (HLG) co-star Maymay Entrata also underwent water baptism last Easter Sunday.
“I’ve been a Christian since 2015; I got lost when I entered the industry. I was invited and attended Favor Church last year [and] took the wrong path again, not until 2023 when I slowly came back to Him,” Entrata wrote in her caption at the time.
Abella and Entrata are set to reunite alongside their other co-stars, Kathryn Bernardo, Alden Richards, Kakai Bautista, and Joross Gamboa, among others, in the most anticipated sequel to HLG, “Hello, Love, Again,” to be released this November.
Abella recently shared a throwback photo of her with Entrata and Bautista in Hong Kong when they were filming the first movie, teasing that fans should look forward to questions getting answered in the second movie that is set to be filmed in Canada.
“Marami ng nagtatanong kung saan na nga si JOY? Heto ang alamin nating lahat kung asan si JOY?? Sa ngayon kasi si GINA raketera pa din pero parang pakiramdam ko makaka-asawa ako ng canadian sa Part 2?” she wrote.
Meanwhile, Richards and director Cathy Garcia-Sampana already flew to Hong Kong along with their production team for the shooting of the said sequel.
