After signing with The Black Label, Blackpink’s Rosé said she has been “in and out of the studio” working on new music while sharing that she took time to map out the next stage of her career.

Rosé took to her Instagram account on Wednesday, June 19, Rosé said in a letter that she wanted to make sure that she truly felt ready before making her career moves open to the public.

“Hi, my loves. Sorry for the long wait. I know some of you have been very eager to hear from me for a while,” she said. “I personally didn’t want to speak or announce anything before I had everything aligned for my music to be out. Put in a more simpler way, whatever I tell you, I wanted to be prepared to back it up with some gooood stuffff.”

The “On The Ground” singer said she needed time to “understand” the multiple sides of her career while learning how to trust herself along the way. “I have come from a place where more things have been done for me over doing things on my own.”

“I need time to learn, understand, doubt, and trust myself and others countless times to be the most responsible person I can be for myself,” she continued. “Honestly I wish I could have an extra 4 more years in my twenties so I can learn all of that! Lol.”

Rosé also reiterated that doing music is something that she “absolutely loves,” and that she spent the majority of her time in the studio creating some new songs for her fans.

“There is nothing more important than delivering to you what I absolutely love, which is music. Starting at the end of last year to all throughout this year, I’ve been in and out of the studio almost every single day, working on new music,” she said. “

Touching on The Black Label, Rosé said signing a contract with the South Korean music label is a partnership that will help in “achieving [her] dreams” as she navigates “to where [she] wants to be and what [she] wants.”

“This has been a year of drawing up a map and navigating to where I want to be and what I want to be doing going forward. It has been months of learning how to be an independent person for myself. Ultimately, I am happy to announce that I am officially working with @theblacklabel as my music management who will be managing my curriculum and helping me navigate towards achieving my dreams,” she said.

The Blackpink member said she’s aware that many of her fans “have many questions” about her career, but she assured that “very exciting announcements” are coming.

“I would love for everyone to be most excited for my music… I am SO excited for that. So please be excited about my music! I know you have many questions but this is only the first exciting puzzle piece to a much bigger picture. Love u,” she said.

Rosé signed with The Black Label earlier this month, making her the final Blackpink member to confirm her plans as a solo act.

Meanwhile, her bandmates Jennie, Jisoo, and Lisa launched their management companies, Odd Atelier, Blissoo, and LLOUD Co., respectively.

Born Roseanne Park, Rosé debuted as the main vocalist and lead dancer of Blackpink in August 2016. She made her solo debut in March 2021 with the single album “-R-”.
