A day after announcing her withdrawal from the Miss Charm pageant, Krishnah Gravidez was declared as Baguio City’s official delegate to the 2024 Miss World Philippines competition.

Gravidez also made the announcement on her social media pages, as she shared a series of photos indicating that she is joining the Miss World Philippines contest.

“To color the WORLD with Kindness. Krishnah Marie Gravidez, @msworldphil 2024 — Baguio City,” she captioned her post.

In her Instagram Stories, Gravidez also shared her official photo as posted by Miss World Philippines as one of its official candidates.

The national pageant released an additional set of candidates for this year’s contest, it’s second batch of contestants comprised of representatives from its provincial partners, totaling 17 ladies.

The first batch of candidates was presented exactly a week ago, made up of 25 ladies who passed the final screening held at Okada Manila in Parañaque City on May 27.

Another set of candidates coming from the overseas Filipino community partners of the Miss World Philippines pageant is expected to be released soon.

Earlier, Gravidez announced her decision to quit as representative of the Philippines in the second edition of the Miss Charm pageant, as the Vietnamese organizers still had not released the details of the global tilt, including the date of the competition.

Gravidez was crowned Miss Charm Philippines after finishing in the Top 3 of the 2023 Miss Universe Philippines pageant in May last year, succeeding Annabelle McDonnell who finished second in the global tilt’s first edition held in February 2023.

The 2024 Miss World Philippines pageant will award three national crowns. Aside from the top prize, the Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas and Miss Philippines Tourism titles will also be awarded.

The winners will be proclaimed at the coronation night to be held at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on July 19.
