Krishnah Gravidez withdraws from Miss Charm pageant

With the second Miss Charm pageant still in limbo, the country’s representative to the international competition Krishnah Gravidez has given up her spot, a decision that got the Philippine pageant community abuzz on a Sunday evening.
“After much consideration and reflection, I regret to inform you that I have decided to withdraw from the Miss Charm International competition,” Gravidez posted on social media on June 2.
She earned the Miss Charm Philippines title more than a year ago after finishing in the Top 3 of the 2023 Miss Universe Philippines in May last year, and succeeded Annabelle McDonnell who was first runner-up in the global tilt held in February 2023.
“I want to express my deepest gratitude for the incredible opportunities that Miss Universe Philippines and Miss Charm Philippines have afforded me. It has been an honor to be part of such prestigious competitions, and I am truly grateful for the experiences and friendships I have gained along the way,” Gravidez said in her post.

She also thanked Miss Universe Philippines Pres. Jonas Gaffud, also the head of Empire Philippines that handles The Miss Philippines where the Miss Charm franchise falls under. Gravidez said he “has been one of the best mentors and gave his valuable support for the decisions I needed to make [red heart emoji].”
Gravidez has already relinquished her Miss Charm Philippines title last month, when several other titleholders were chosen from among the Miss Universe Philippines candidates. The organization made a surprise announcement nine days before the coronation night that four additional crowns would be at stake. Also awarded were the Miss Supranational Philippines, Miss Eco International Philippines, and Miss Cosmo Philippines titles.
The Miss Charm Philippines crown went to Miss Universe Philippines Top 10 finisher Cyrille Payumo from Pampanga, winner of the Miss Tourism International pageant in 2019. But the organizers said that she would be competing in 2025 because Gravidez’s competition has not transpired yet.
“To the pageant fans, Team Strawberries (her supporters), my Vietnamese supporters, and my core team, who watched my journey and waited, I thank you for holding on,” Gravidez said as she announced her decision to withdraw.
The Miss Universe Philippines Organization, Empire Philippines, The Miss Philippines, and Miss Charm pageant have not issued any official statement regarding Gravidez’s decision to withdraw from the international pageant.
