Miss Universe 2022 R’Bonney Gabriel tapped into her Filipino humor to invite pageant fans to watch the Miss Universe Philippines coronation night.

Through her Instagram page on Tuesday, May 21, Gabriel shared a clip which starts with a blurry video of a woman who slipped and fell while walking in a mud-covered street.

Before the woman lies down due to the fall, the video abruptly transitions to Gabriel lying on the floor, seemingly making it look like the beauty queen came from a fall.

And while she may have hurt her back a little with her stunt, the Filipino-American beauty queen made as if it was all part of the skit. “Miss Universe Philippines coronation night, May 22nd. I’m hosting and I better see you there,” she said as she was getting up.

The video concludes with Gabriel saying “Tulungan mo ako,” while reaching her hand out to a person outside the frame.

Filipino celebrities and fellow beauty queens commended Gabriel for her comic invitation, with TV host Kim Atienza saying, “Your humor is really Pinoy!”

“Best promo ever,” actress-beauty queen Megan Young commented.

“OMG queen! Your pinoy humor is coming [through]!” beauty queen Krishnah Gravidez stated.

Gabriel has been staying in the Philippines since April 13, immersing herself in the Filipino way of life on top of her Miss Universe duties. She is set to host the Miss Universe Philippines finals night on May 22 alongside Emmy-winning host Jeannie Mai, Tim Yap, and actors Alden Richards and Gabbi Garcia.
