Heart Evangelista shows support for Chiz Escudero as Senate president
Heart Evangelista is one proud wife as she expressed her full support to her husband, Chiz Escudero, who had just been elected by his colleagues as Senate President.
On Instagram, Evangelista shared a picture of Escudero’s oath-taking before Senator Mark Villa, following the resignation of his predecessor, Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri. The fashionista, looking sleek in her chocolate brown ensemble, was gazing lovingly at her husband who was in formal barong.
“Mr. Senate President [Philippine flag], I am so proud of you [emojis],” Evangelista captioned her post.

Escudero, too, took to Instagram to highlight his political milestone of becoming the 25th leader of the chamber.

Celebrities and followers of Evangelista and Escudero showed their support through the comments section, among them Bea Alonzo, Bryan Boy and Francine Garcia, who even called the actress-host as the “First Lady of the Senate.”
Meanwhile, Evangelista announced on Mother’s Day that she and Escudero lost their “4th angel” after she suffered another miscarriage.
“A few days ago, our baby boy’s heart stopped beating,” she wrote in a handwritten note she shared on Instagram. “This will be our fourth angel, and although this could be one of my biggest heartbreaks, thank you for still trying to be with me and for making me feel so much love already.”
In March of this year, the Kapuso actress and the politician shared that they were expecting a baby girl the previous month, but “she didn’t make it,” as well.
The two tied the knot in 2015 and announced that they were expecting twins three years later, but lost them both to miscarriage at the time.
In February, the A-list couple renewed their wedding vows in Balesin.
