Escudero, too, took to Instagram to highlight his political milestone of becoming the 25th leader of the chamber.

Makakaasa kayo na sa aking pamumuno, ipagpapatuloy natin ang pagsasabatas ng mga panukalang nagsusulong na maiangat ang buhay ng bawat Pilipino,” he said, as he vowed his Senate to be an ally of the executive in legislation.

Escudero also praised and thanked Zubiri for his service and leadership in the senate.
