Far from his usual bubbly self, an emotional Lassy bid farewell to his father who recently died, vowing to keep their family together despite his absence.

On Wednesday, May 15, Lassy was just urgently asking for prayers for the healing of his father, although the comedian did not immediately disclose what condition he was suffering from.

Lassy, in a succeeding post on his Facebook page on Thursday, May 16, then showed himself hugging his father during the latter’s last moments.

“Paalam, Dada ko,” he began.

Further details on his dad’s death have yet to be made public as of this writing.

Aside from his comedy gigs, Lassy is currently one of the hosts of the ABS-CBN noontime show “It’s Showtime.” He is also best known for starring in the Vice Ganda-led films “Partners in Crime,” “The Mall, the Merrier!” and “Gandarrapiddo! The Revenger Squad,” among others.
