Michelle Dee on Miss Universe PH journey after a year: ‘One heck of a ride’

A year after being crowned as 2023 Miss Universe Philippines and days before crowning her successor, Michelle Dee looked back on her journey and described it as a celebration and “representation of resilience.”
“Today marks exactly 365 days since I got crowned,” the actress-beauty said, showing clips from her crowning moment via her Instagram page on Monday, May 13.
“This has been an incredible year for the books and one heck of a ride all together. I really couldn’t have done this without the unwavering support and hard work of so many,” she added.
Addressing the public, Dee continued, “To everyone who stood by me and our vision—thank you. This journey has been ours, a true representation of our resilience and a celebration who we’re proud to be. All love.”

Supporters as well as Dee’s fellow beauty queens and actresses were all cheering for her, with some regarding the beauty queen’s crowning moment as “one of the best nights.”

Dee is set to relinquish her crown at the finals night at the MOA Arena on May 22, where 53 candidates will be showcasing their beauty and wit. The event will be hosted by Miss Universe 2022 R’Bonney Gabriel, Emmy-winning host Jeannie Mai, Alden Richards, Tim Yap and Gabbi Garcia.
