It appears Christian Bautista could no longer stand the scorching heat that he daydreamed about asking Philippine Christmas icon Jose Mari Chan to usher in the “ber” months early for the cold breeze.
Bautista showed a photo of him with Chan which was taken in November last year, through the former’s Instagram page last Friday, April 26.
The singer included in the caption a made-up conversation with Chan whom he referred to as “JMC,” adding references to their respective songs.
“Sir JMC, can we just stop and talk awhile? Kailangan na po namin ang boses niyo para lumamig nang konti. Napakainit ng panahon po, sobra!” Bautista wrote.
Chan supposedly replied: “April pa lang, Christian. Malayo pa September. Life is a constant change. Lalamig din sa tamang panahon.”
A part of the make-believe exchange also showed Bautista “begging” Chan to sing his Christmas songs, but that the latter advised him to just stay indoors to avoid suffering from heat stroke.
Bautista concluded his post by adding the hashtags “multiverse,” “alternate universe” and “satire.”
Parts of the country have been suffering from dangerous heat index, with Metro Manila hitting its hottest day on record at 38.8°C last April 27.
